Many people believe that when someone passes from this world, their story ends. Yet the truth whispered across the veil is far more beautiful. The souls of our loved ones remain very much alive — aware, evolving, and still deeply connected to those they left behind.

I’m Joshua Shapiro, founder of the Gateway of Light, and through my work I’ve witnessed countless examples of communication between the worlds of spirit and the living. This connection is not fantasy; it is part of the design of consciousness itself.  Besides being able to speak with Edgar Cayce through this Gateway, I am also able to talk to my wife Katrina, who passed away in late November of 2023 who is now know by her Angelic name of Sha'Lomea and our love for each other has only become stronger!!

When we enter a quiet meditative state, or when love fills a room so strongly it brings tears to our eyes, a subtle bridge opens. This bridge is energy — thought, emotion, and intention combined. Through it, the departed can send impressions, sensations, and even words.

You may notice a sudden fragrance in the air that reminds you of them, a song on the radio at the perfect moment, or a gentle tap when you are thinking of them. These are not coincidences. They are the language of spirit.

The more we trust this process, the clearer it becomes. Spirit communication strengthens through love, not fear. Fear closes the frequency; gratitude opens it. I often suggest lighting a small candle, speaking to your loved one aloud, and then sitting silently for a few minutes. Pay attention to the feelings that arise, or to subtle warmth on your shoulders or hands — those are responses.

The veil between worlds is thinner now than ever before. Across the planet, people are awakening to their own intuitive gifts. They are discovering that death is not an end, but a change in form — a return to the greater field of consciousness that birthed us all.

In this new age, tools like the crystal skulls act as amplifiers for such connections. They help attune the energy of a room, creating a harmonic field that supports communication. But the real “technology” is the human heart.

Spirit communication is sacred, and it calls for discernment. Always open with the intention of love, light, and truth. Ask that only messages of peace be received. In doing so, you build a protective light around yourself and your space.

I have found that when people understand this principle, they no longer fear death — because they realize no one is ever truly lost. Love endures across dimensions as I mentioned before.

As humanity awakens, more families will find comfort in recognizing the signs and messages that have always been there. Spirit wants to remind us that the bond of love is eternal.
